Top 5 Mom Struggles

Motherhood is hard

Yes, we all know that, but do we ever admit it? Not really, because then it might sound like we aren’t grateful for our children. Or, someone might think that we are weak.

But, that’s not really true. And, talking about what we struggle with actually helps make us better moms, believe it or not.

The Top Five

Here is exactly what moms told me were their biggest struggles in an anonymous survey:

  1. Exhaustion
  1. Balance between work/life/mom/wife/friends
  1. Overwhelmed
  1. Guilt
  1. Not enough time in the day

In my opinion, all five of these could be summed up in the number one answer of us thinking that we don’t have enough time in the day.

We like to tell ourselves, “If I had more time, I would…” (fill in the blank.)

  • I wouldn’t feel so guilty because I’d spend more time with our kids.
  • I would take time for myself.
  • I would go out on dates with my husband.
  • I would get more sleep (unless you have an infant, of course.)
  • I would be more organized.
  • I would have more opportunity to balance everything that I have going on.

I’ve heard it all. And, I’ve said it all.

But, the bottom line is that these are all excuses.

You aren’t going to have more time. Ever. Time is a fixed resource. So, you have two choices.

  1. Continue to wish you had more time (and your situation stays the same or gets worse.)
  2. Make the changes.

I know changes aren’t easy. I talked about this in my last post (check it out here: What No One Tells You About Change)

So, I’ve created a solution for those moms that are struggling. I believe it is so incredibly important to invest time into ourselves. This benefits us, our families and our relationships.

I want you to spend 15 minutes a day taking your life back. I know that 15 minutes seems trivial. But, trust me. It makes all the difference.

It’s like the Slight Edge theory. It’s easy to do, but also easy not to do. However, compounded over time, repeating simple activities will make a big difference. And, it will probably make a difference sooner than you think.

So, if you are frustrated with feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and guilty and you are wondering how you can turn things around, than I want to help you. Check out this 30 Day Program specifically geared towards moms who don’t want to feel like they are struggling to keep their heads above water anymore.

I want to help you become a better mom, wife, friend, employee and overall a better YOU.

Too many of us live below our potential because of our limited belief in what we can accomplish. But, I know you are here to do great things. Why else would you be here? Click To Tweet
